Tips for a great bachelorette weekend
#1. Budget
We know, it’s not a very fun place to start. But you’ll need to determine whatever one is comfortable paying in order to make all the other decisions. Make sure to discuss which items everyone will need to pay for on their own, what can be split (groceries, the airbnb), and if guests will be covering any costs for the bride.
#2. Dates
Start by choosing a time of year, the season can largely determine the location of the trip. Next narrow it down to one to two months and see what weekends everyone is available. Does a Thursday-Sunday work best? Or maybe Friday-Monday? Would people prefer to travel over a holiday weekend or avoid traveling then?
#3. Location
Once you know the budget you have to work with and the time of year, you can determine your location. Maybe everyone is comfortable with splurging on an amazing beach trip or a mountain getaway. Maybe funds are tight and you’ll need to stay local. Keeping the trip local just means there’s more room in the budget for activities, decor, and all those fun add-on’s!
#4. Accomodations
You know your budget, where you want to go, and when- now you’ll need somewhere to stay! Plug in your dates and budget into sites like Airbnb or VRBO to view your options. Or check the rates of your weekend on hotel sites. This is another time that the budget could use a review- does everyone want to max out the dedicated accommodations budget? Will you spend a lot of time there? An airbnb with games and a pool or fire pit can absolutely be worth the extra cost if you’ll use these amenities! Plan on spending a lot of time hitting the town? Maybe opt for a hotel room instead!
#5. Main Activities
This is where you really need to know your group- what types of activities they like, don’t like, and overall expectations for the weekend. Obviously the Bride should have a large say, but make sure there’s enough relaxation time scheduled in for those who might not want to party all weekend long.
#6. Theme
This part is super fun! The theme for the weekend can revolve around the location (Last Rodeo), the bride’s interests (Mama Mia), or a holiday (Final Fiesta). This part should be 100% up to the Bride and reflect the vibe she wants for the weekend. Once you have a theme nailed down, search Pinterest for decor and outfits ideas.
#7. Accessories & Decor
Details, details, details. They really make an event unforgettable. Whether you’re celebrating for just one night or a whole weekend, the little touches truly make a bachelorette weekend feel special. Some popular options include matching shirts, customized cups, tumblers, towels, sunglasses, hair ties, and photo props. Searching for your theme in Etsy is a great place to find super cute and personalized decor!
As always, if you’re celebrating in Nashville, we’d love to make your bachelorette dreams come true!
